‘1922’ Trailer: Netflix’s Stephen King Adaptation Stars Thomas Jane

Netflix's Stephen King Adaptation

Netflix has released a new trailer for 1922, the third Stephen King adaptation this year.

It is directed by Zak Hilditch and stars Thomas Jane as James, a rancher who conspires to kill his wife, Arlette (Molly Parker) and recruits his teenage son to help him commit the crime. Ideal as it would be that no crime goes unpunished, James is fighting his wife’s ghost and an infestation of rats.

The cast also includes Neal McDonough, Brian d’Arcy James, Dylan Schmid, and Kaitlyn Bernard. 1922 comes out on Netflix October 20th, following its premiere at Fantastic Fest. See the trailer below.

Netflix's Stephen King Adaptation

1922 is based on Stephen King’s 131-page story telling of a man’s confession of his wife’s murder. The tale is told from the perspective of Wilfred James, the story’s unreliable narrator who admits to killing his wife, Arlette, with his son in Nebraska. But after he buries her body, he finds himself terrorized by rats and, as his life begins to unravel, becomes convinced his wife is haunting him.
