Weekend Box Office: GUARDIANS Wins Lackluster Labor Day


Although its wins were not consecutive, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy reached it’s third box office victory and became 2014’s biggest hit domestically.  Guardians is expected to bring in an estimated $21.2 million over the long Labor Day holiday, placing its cume near $279 million and soaring past fellow Marvel hero Captain America: The Winter Soldier which earned the $259.8 million by April release.

Liam Neeson Would Return as Ra’s al Ghul for ARROW TV Series


Batman Begins star Liam Neeson revealed that he’s more than willing to reprise the role of Ra’s al Ghul in the third season of the “Arrow” TV series.

“No, I haven’t [been approached], I haven’t at all. I would [do it], in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so,”

Jesse Eisenberg Cautiously Talks about Lex Luthor Role in BATMAN V SUPERMAN


Officially Jesse Eisenberg isn’t allowed to say much, but the actor has opened up a little more about villainous Lex Luthor character in a new interview with Total Film (via CBM), while promoting his new drama Night Moves.

The Social Network star who hadn’t seen any comic book movies before he joined Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, reportedly looked through a stack of comics to get a sense of the history of the Superman’s arch nemesis.

Is Captain Marvel One of New Members in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

If you are sensitive to potential spoilers proceed with caution. Marvel Studios is reportedly getting “cold-feet” concerning the long-rumored Captain Marvel cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

According to Badass Digest, Captain America “will assemble a team that is a mix of familiar and new faces, leading forward into Phase Three” at the end of the movie.

New FOXCATCHER Teaser Trailer is Here

Ahead of its Telluride Film Festival screening, Bennett Miller’s Cannes selected drama Foxcatcher gets a new trailer starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo.

So far there have only been two short teasers and I kinda wish they would put a trailer out that’s longer than one minute though. Still, Carell makes me chill with his transformative performance.

The First Trailer and Poster for Jon Stewart’s ROSEWATER


The first trailer and poster for Jon Stewart’s directorial debut Rosewater has been released ahead of its screening at the Telluride Film Festival followed shortly by a Toronto Film Festival appearance.

Starring Gael García Bernal as Iranian-Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari who was arrested for espionage while covering the Iranian elections in 2009, Rosewater opens in theaters on November 7.

Leaked Photos of FANTASTIC FOUR’s New Doctor Doom


We’ve already seen what might be a first look at Jamie Bell’s The Thing and now it’s Dr. Doom’s turn.

The folks over at Geek Pride have a source who apparently worked on Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot set, and they’ve provided the website with two snaps of what appears to be Doctor Doom (Toby Kebbell) as well as Michael B. Jordan’s stunt double for Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and a pre-CG stand-in for The Thing.
