‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ Teaser Trailer Released

Disney's Live-Action Sequel

Walt Disney Pictures released the first (very brief) teaser for the upcoming live-action Alice in Wonderland sequel, titled Alice Through the Looking Glass.

The surreal clip features Mia Wasikowska returning as the title heroine as she falls through a door into the sky.

Wasikowska is joined by Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonhan Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, as well as franchise newbies Rhys Ifans as the Mad Hatter’s father and Sacha Baron Cohen plays a new character called Time whose powers allow Alice to visit the Wonderland characters at different times in their lives.

Directed by James Bobin from a script by Linda Wolverton, Alice Through the Looking Glass hits theaters on May 27, 2016. Watch it below.

I know this looks like a cash grab but with a slight direction, you just may be surprised.

Update: The Mouse House has now released a second brief teaser which has a bluebird flying through the looking glass. It appears that we will likely get the full teaser trailer by this week or next week.

Mia looks beautiful.

Update: And here’s the third sneak peek – I hardly call an 8 second laugh a “teaser” – with a fleeting glimpse of Helena Bonham Carter’s scene – stealing Red Queen.

Update: A fourth Alice Through the Looking Glass tease has arrived ahead of the first trailer tomorrow morning!

Alice Through the Looking Glass revisits Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland – and back in Time.
