‘Alien: Covenant’ Trailer Teaser Reveals Xenomorph Egg
20th Century Fox has revealed an Alien: Covenant teaser, ahead of the first full trailer which is set to arrive online Christmas Day.
A brief video sees a Xenomorph egg as it starts to open to presumably give birth to a facehugger or whatever intergalactic evil awakening within.
Alien: Covenant revolves around the crew of a colony ship that heads to a planet they believe is an uncharted paradise, but they quickly learn it’s actually a dangerous world with a threat beyond their imagination.
The upcoming Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus sequel stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez, and is set to open in theaters on May 19, 2017.
Watch a 15 second tease below.
One thing’s for sure, this is not going to be a PG-13 movie.
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
