Benicio Del Toro in Talks to Join Black & Dekker’s ‘Predator’ Reboot

The Predator Reboot

Academy Award-winning actor Benicio del Toro is in early talks to play a key role in Fox’s The Predator, a reboot of the muscle-bound action 1987 movie. Shane Black is directing the new Predator from a script by Fred Dekker.

Plot details are under wraps, but earlier this summer Black revealed that the film’s lead good guy would be named Quinn Mackenna and that James Franco might play him.

Del Toro is a strong addition to the cast and it’s hard not to be happy about it, but the dude cannot carry an entire movie on his own. If Arnold Schwarzenegger is not in this than it’s gonna be another failed Predator flick like the one Robert Rodriguez produced a few years back. Just kidding, fortunately Shane Black is running the show and I’m pretty stoke for more Predator from him.

Shane Black's Upcoming Movie

The project, described as an event film, begins shooting in February and is aiming for a February 9th, 2018 release date.
