Brian Tee Joins TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 as Shredder

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sequel

Paramount Pictures has brought Brian Tee to succeed Tohoru Masamune as the famous Turtles adversary Shredder in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

Shredder, the nefarious leader of the Foot Clan was the main villain in the hit 2014 film that rebooted the live-action franchise. The character was oddly played down first time around and that is somehow good news.  But no details were given for how Tee’s Oroku Saki will be different from Masamune’s version of the highly skilled master of ninjutsu, so we’ll have to wait and see how he fits in.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 cast now includes Megan Fox (April O’Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), Stephen Amell (Casey Jones), Tyler Perry (Baxter Stockman) and Tee as Shredder, while Earth to Echo director Dave Green will take the reigns from Jonathan Liebesman. Michael Bay will once again produce with his Platinum Dunes partners. The film hits theaters June 3rd, 2016.

One thing’s for sure, with the inclusion of Stockman, Bebop and Rocksteady, the Paramount sequel is going to be jam-packed with Turtle baddies.

Tee appeared in the recently released Furious 7 and has roles in upcoming projects, like NBC’s pilot “Love is a Four Letter Word” and Universal’s Jurassic World.
