‘Captain America: Civil War’ Gets an Effective International Trailer

Captain America: Civil War

Marvel has dropped online a new international trailer for Captain America: Civil War. If you are a fan of the comic books, it’s even better than the film’s first official trailer, although there isn’t much new footage (if that) in this new look.

The new Japanese trailer has been re-cut for effect and is more from the view-point of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) on the Avengers-splitting issue. In the comics, some heroes including Captain America are taken into custody following the final battle of the War, and the next story arc started with his assassination on the way to trial. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, this movie sees the Avengers splintered and Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man going toe-to-toe.

Take a look:

William Hurt‘s recap of the current situation in the MCU really sets the tone. Starring Evans, Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, 2016.

Marvel Studios Sequel

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
