Une femme coquette (A Flirtatious Woman), a no-budget short made in 1955 by Jean-Luc Godard appeared on YouTube.
Shot on 16mm camera by a 24-year-old amateur with no formal film school training, the film is about a woman who attempts to attract a man by emulating what she sees a prostitute do.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Hacksaw Ridge helmer Mel Gibson is in talks to enter the DC Films Universe for Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad sequel. Variety reports that the studio is still eyeing other filmmakers including Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland), Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) and Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies).
After being dormant for a few years, The Raid remake is no longer dead. Actor Frank Grillo and director Joe Carnahan announced they are boarding their version of Gareth Evans’ Indonesian action sensation for Hollywood.
The original production company, XYZ Films, dropped a teaser video online today showing Carnahan alongside Grillo watching The Raid and discussing a potential adaptation. Check it out below.
There were many rumors flying about a new Halloween film, especially ones regarding the talent behind the camera. According to John Carpenter himself, the honor will actually go to David Gordon Green.
Green will reportedly helm the picture that will have a script co-written by him and frequent collaborator Danny McBride (Pineapple Express, HBO’s “Eastbound & Down”). Here’s what Carpenter had to say in the Facebook post.
Production has already started on Warner Bros. and MGM’s Tomb Raider reboot and the first photos from the set have debuted online from The Daily Mail, featuring Alicia Vikander in costume as Lara Croft, “the only daughter of an aristocratic family who ventures out into dangerous locations in search of ancient artifacts with supernatural powers.”
“It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require,” says the actor.
The issues first came up in November when the American Psycho screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis let slip that he’d heard some not-so-promising things about the screenplay for the movie.
