Nikita Mikhalkov‘s production company Three T has released the 45-second clip from its upcoming sports drama film Going Vertical (Движение вверх). Based on the true story of the Soviet Union’s basketball victory over the United States in the championship game of the 1972 Summer Olympics, the film was directed by Anton Megerdichev (Metro). Nikolai Kulikov (Legend No. 17) wrote the script.
Netflix has released the official trailer for Adam Leon‘s Tramps, an indie romance-heist film which first premiered at Toronto International Film Festival last fall.
Starring Callum Turner and Grace Van Patten, Leon’s sophomore feature is about a young man who agrees to transport a briefcase full of cash for his troublemaking older sibling, only to lose it, and team with the driver girl on a long night to get it back.
Kiyoshi Kurosawa‘s Before We Vanish is one of the in-competition titles at Cannes 2017 that has drawn my attention. Based on the theatrical play “Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha,” which was written and directed by Tomohiro Maekawa, the latest from Japanese horror master looks to be a hybrid of the extraterrestrial-invasion thriller and relationship drama.
It’s finally here! Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the eighth chapter in the core “Skywalker Saga.”
It’s just something to start the hype train, which will reportedly pick up right were J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens ends — with Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis and, of course, Mark Hamill. They’ll be joined by Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern.
Neon has released the intriguing new trailer for The Bad Batch, the dystopian cannibal western thriller from acclaimed Iranian director Ana Lily Amirpour.
Suki Waterhouse leads the film about a young woman who falls in with a group of savage and gym body-obsessed cannibals in the Texas wastelands.
Deadpool is protecting Nick Fury in a non-superhero movie! Lionsgate Summit Entertainment has released the new red band trailer for The Hitman’s Bodyguard, the upcoming action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson. The chemistry seems to be there between Reynolds and Jackson, even though I was expecting the tone to be a bit more serious.
Roadside Attractions has released an official trailer for Miguel Arteta‘s latest film Beatriz at Dinner, the rebellious comedy starring Salma Hayek as an immigrant who butts heads with a billionaire (John Lithgow) at a fancy pants dinner.
Beatriz at Dinner premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.
