CRIMSON PEAK – First Trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Gothic Horror
First trailer for Guillermo del Toro‘s gothic horror film Crimson Peak has finally arrived, starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver.
The highly anticipated Del Toro’s return to the genre is set in Victorian-era England and tells the tale of a “woman who falls for a mysterious stranger and moves in with him and his eccentric sister, only to later regret her decision after learning the house may have life of its own.”
The first official teaser doesn’t show much. Looks like Crimson Peak directly ties into Pan’s Labyrinth and The Devil’s Backbone, and almost has a Tim Burton-esque feel to it. Cool, not how I pictured it in my head…And yes, the complete lack of jump scares.
Del Toro‘s character-driven gothic romance arrives in regular theaters and IMAX on October 16th.

Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro and Callum Greene produce, and Jillian Share executive produces.
