Daisy Ridley Will Be Around for the Whole STAR WARS Trilogy

Daisy Ridley seems to resemble both a young Carrie Fisher and Natalie Portman. And maybe that’s the reason why she had signed with a new agency. But the real truth is far more simpler: one of the leads in J.J. Abrams‘ Star Wars Episode VII is expected to return for Rian Johnson‘s Star Wars Episode VIII and Star Wars Episode IX!

And UTA was the agency that won the war to rep the relatively unknown newcomer that could be playing the role of Jaina Solo, the daughter of Han (Harrison Ford) and Leia (Carrie Fisher) in the next Star Wars film.

Crucial evidence is the original cast announcement photo for Star Wars: Episode VII:

The woman on the couch next to Harrison Ford and engaged in conversation with Carrie Fisher is Ridley. While this may sound a tad insane to those who don’t follow film production, where you sit at a script table read actually means something. Her placement between Ford and Fisher is not some random occurrence. Also notice that all of the other newcomers are off in the top left corner. Ridley did not just plop down on the couch between Fisher and Ford and simply look at the other new actors and go, “Deal with it.”

Whatever the reason, the fact remains that Ridley must have impressed someone at Disney and Lucasfilm during the worldwide talent search that landed her the role.

And according to this Deadline article, Looper helmer Johnson is locked to direct Episode IX as well.

Lucasfilm hasn’t confirmed any of this.

Star Wars: Episode VII will arrive in theaters on December 18th, 2015, while Episode VIII and Episode IX are set to come out in 2017 and 2019. Interested?
