Daniel Craig to Play a Stormtrooper in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

The Force Awakens Cameo

Simon Pegg accidentally revealed while talking to the Sun at the premiere of his new film, Man Up, that James Bond star Daniel Craig will play a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Star Trek star let the secret slip before realizing his mistake and immediately felt bad about it:

“I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper…I shouldn’t have said that.”

The Skyfall star has long been rumored to have a small part in the blockbuster and his face will be concealed. But the 47-year-old hunk was reportedly “happy to have his name left off the posters.” This casting news hasn’t been officially confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.

Craig recently returned to finish filming on Skyfall follow-up Spectre, after he had arthroscopic surgery to repair his knee injury sustained while shooting a fight scene for new 007 film. Spectre is scheduled for release in November 2015 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens the following month.
