Dave Franco to Star Alongside Brother James in THE DISASTER ARTIST

Tommy Wiseau’s The Room dubbed as one of the worst movies ever made has become a cult fave.  In October 2013, “the Citizen Kane of bad movies” co-star Greg Sestero released The Disaster Artist, a tell-all book that was quickly optioned by Seth Rogan (Neighbors).

Soon after that, it was announced that James Franco was set as co-producer and director, but Franco had to end up playing Wiseau, too.

3News just broke the news that none other than James younger brother Dave Franco (Neighbors) will be playing the part of Sestero.

Appearing at a screening of The Room in LA last night, Dave asked a question to Wiseau during a post-screening Q&A:

“Tommy, how do you feel about me playing Greg Sestero in the movie?”

And the eccentric filmmaker replied:

“That’s what I say: It’s a good choice!”

and added,

“I didn’t want to say it, but it happened, so, he’s a good guy”.

Dave Franco later posted the photo above on his Instagram account. There’s no word yet on when filming will start.
