DCCU Rumor: Ben Affleck Directing THE BATMAN Solo Film

Warner Bros. Pictures Action Adventure

Latino-Review has heard another DC Cinematic Universe rumor: Ben Affleck will direct the next Batman solo film, due out in 2018, which they believe is titled, The Batman.

Affleck, who will portray the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Batman v Superman film, will reportedly be joined by his Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio for the project. Terrio also worked on the Dawn of Justice script and is writing both of Zack Snyder‘s Justice League movies.

The Batman is aiming for a November 2018 release.

The site claims the full JL cast will be coming to this year’s SDCC, which will include Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart. No word on previously rumored Guy Gardner.

Instead of the Steve Trevor rumors, the site also believes that Chris Pine is in the running to play Jordan. As for the role of Stewart, LR speculates that Tyrese Gibson may end up landing it.

From what I can see, it seems like Latino-Review is just saying what any film blogger anticipates “could reasonably happen,” doesn’t it? I like that we’ll know after San Diego Comic-Con what’s real, so stay tuned.
