DEADPOOL Will Be Rated R!!

Ryan Reynolds April Prank

But really just for today. I hate April Fools jokes but I’m okay with this one. Ryan Reynolds had the web well and truly pranked, confirming the R-rating for the upcoming comic book adaptation of Marvel’s most ridiculous character, Deadpool.

A nice way to say a bad thing, in the spirit of the Merc with a Mouth. It will definitely be rated PG-13. And he had a little help from the actor-turned-Tv presenter Mario Lopez (NBC’s “Saved by the Bell”). Watch below.

Thanks for the prank on this April Fools.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds will star in the title role of the film along with Ed Skrein, TJ Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Morena Baccarin as Copycat. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus, though Daniel Cudmore has confirmed he will not appear as the character.

Tim Miller is set to direct the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is currently scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.
