‘Doctor Strange’: New Set Photos Show Chiwetel Ejiofor & Benedict Cumberbatch

Ejiofor & Cumberbatch

Production on Marvel’s Doctor Strange continues in Patan Durbar Square, Nepal, and new set pics show closer look at Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Dr. Stephen Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor as fully costumed Baron Mordo.

The sequence currently filming in Nepal is rumored to be a part of Strange’s journey to find the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) for help healing his hands after they were injured. Further according to the report, Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, will be the location where a group of dark magic Zealots are opening a portal to another dimension. They are led by villainous Kaecilius, a field agent for the good doctor’s arch foe, Mordo (Ejiofor).

Penned by Jon Spaihts and directed by Scott Derrickson, the film also stars recently cast Michael Stuhlbarg as Dr. Nicodemus West who will attempt several operations to get Stephen’s hands back after a horrific car accident. Also attached to star in Doctor Strange are Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen in as-yet-unconfirmed roles. The movie opens November 4, 2016.
