DOCTOR WHO Season 8 Full-Length Trailer

BBC One has finally launched a full length trailer for the highly anticipated Season 8 of Doctor Who, starring Peter Capaldi as the 12th regeneration of the Doctor who will be taking viewers alike on a trip “into darkness.”

“I don’t think I know who the Doctor is any more,”

Jenna Coleman‘s Clara Oswald whispered, before the Doctor informed her that they were heading “into darkness”. (The spine of every Whovian).

“I’m the Doctor. I’ve lived for over two thousand years. I’ve made many mistakes. It’s about time I did something about that,”

promised Capaldi’s Time Lord.

Oh yeah, and there are Cybermen, Daleks, and also a Tyrannosaurus Rex trotting around in front of Parliament, while the Voice of Davros is heard threatening:

“I see into your soul Doctor. I see beauty, divinity, hatred.”

Doctor Who season 8 premieres on August 23rd on BBC One and BBC America.

Here’s a synopsis:

A brand-new era of Doctor Who begins as the Time Lord dons a new look. Peter Capaldi said of his Doctor: “He’s woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 per cent Rebel Time Lord.” While lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat added: “New Doctor, new era, and of course new clothes. Monsters of the universe, the vacation is over – Capaldi is suited and booted and coming to get you!”

The Patermoster Gang aka Strax (Dan Starkey), Jenny (Catrin Stewart) and Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) will join the Doctor and Clara in the eighth season premiere. And there may be a new companion coming to the TARDIS, as Samuel Anderson has joined “Doctor Who” in a recurring role as Danny Pink, one of Clara’s friends.

Keeley Hawes, Tom Riley, Ben Miller, Hermione Norris, Frank Skinner, Foxes, Christopher Fairbank and Sanjeev Bhaskar have made guest appearances in the upcoming season.
