Emily Blunt Rumored for Role in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Marvel’s first choice to play Black Widow and the role of Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger, may be finally heading to the land of comic book movies, but for DC rather than Marvel.

The Edge of Tomorrow star Emily Blunt passed on both roles, but now, it looks like she’s interested again. According to a Spanish site called El Multicine (via Latino-Review), Blunt is up for an unidentified role in upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Here’s a translation of a quote:

The actress Emily Blunt will land on billboards worldwide with her film ‘Edge of Tomorrow’, in what appears to be a great science fiction role. Now her name returns to the orbit of comic adaptations with her possible incorporation in ‘Batman Vs Superman’, directed by Zack Snyder. A film that has been shooting since last month.

Could we see her as a potential Catwoman? Your guess is good as mine.

No doubt everyone and their mother are interested in joining the film, but it wouldn’t surprise me if DC managed to snatch her up first.

As always, take this with a grain of salt.

Written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on May 6th, 2016 with Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman  alongside returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), in addition to newcomer Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg  as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, and Tao Okamoto  in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
