Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

The recent Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne has been cast in the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Warner Bros. confirmed that the Theory of Everything star will play Newt Scamander, the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist “who in his travels has encountered and documented a myriad of magical creatures, ultimately leading his penning the Hogwarts School textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

“Eddie is a fearless actor, brimming with invention, wit and humanity. I couldn’t be more excited about the prospect of working with him as we start this new adventure in J.K. Rowling’s wonderful world, and I know she feels the same way,”

said David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter films and will return to helm Fantastic Beasts as well. Warner Bros. Pictures has slated it for worldwide release on November 18, 2016, with sequels following suit in 2018 and 2020. The film starts shooting this summer in London.

Hopefully this will be better than the final Harry Potter film. Won’t be long ’til Eddie is either a DC or Marvel villain.
