Here’s the first poster for Gabriele Muccino’s (The Pursuit of Happyness) upcoming film, Fathers and Daughters, the generation-spanning drama that stars Russell Crowe, Aaron Paul, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Kruger, Quvenzhane Wallis, Haley Bennet and Octavia Spencer.

Posted by Muccino on his twitter feed, the one-sheet feature Russell Crowe and young Kylie Rogers as a famous novelist suffering from depression as he tries to raise his 5-year-old daughter. The film is a love story between a father and daughter which spans 25 years, from the 1980′s to the present day, and has Seyfried playing Katie as an adult, who eventually has demons of her own that were caused by her troubled childhood.

Crowe began his first day of shooting (above) on Wednesday at The Mansions on Fifth hotel in Shadyside, Pittsburgh and Jane Fonda and Bruce Greenwood have also joined the cast — Fonda will reportedly play the novelist’s literary agent while Greenwood will play the writer’s brother-in-law, who with his wife (Kruger) wages a a custody battle over the daughter (Rogers).

The Voltage Pictures project is based on a Black List script penned by Brad Desch and is heading to the European Film Market in Berlin this month, to be sold.
