The news comes from the Batman v Superman cinematographer Larry Fong. In an announcement today via Instagram, longtime Zack Snyder collaborator posted that filming on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has completed after seven months of filming with a short teaser of a black sleeve being covered in snow.

We’re getting into very speculative territory here, but could that be a serene shot of Batman’s cape after the fight with Superman? It’s hard to say for certain.

Why are we going to wait 16 months until the movie actually comes out? Dawn of Justice was originally set for a July 17, 2015 release before moving to May 6, 2016 where it would have gone up against Captain America: Civil War. The film then moved once again to its current release date March 25, 2016. Well, it seems like a safe bet that Snyder and much of the team are going to turn their efforts directly to Justice League pretty quickly so Gal Gadot will be quite busy. Wonder Woman, which also stars Gadot is due out on June 23, 2017.

The Frank Miller inspired brawl of the gods stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. Gadot, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher also appear in the mega blockbuster as Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg.
