First ARMS AND THE DUDES Images Featuring Miles Teller and Jonah Hill

The Hangover director Todd Phillips has shared a few Arms and the Dudes images on Instagram, featuring Miles Teller and Johan Hill as a pair of pot-smoking wheeler dealers.

Phillips’ upcoming project is based on a true story of two young men who were contracted by the Pentagon to supply America’s allies in Afghanistan with munitions. It’s clear they’re woefully unprepared to deal with something like this.

It will be interesting to see what sort of tone Phillips goes for. Could it be his first foray into the dramedy category? I dunno, but IMDb lists it as a comedy. Phillips co-wrote the script with Stephen Chin and Jason Smilovic. Arms and the Dudes is slated for release on March 11, 2016.

See for yourself.

Based on a true story, “Arms & the Dudes” follows two friends in their early 20s (Hill and Teller) living in Miami during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair gets in over their heads when they land a $300 million deal to arm the Afghan Military—a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not the least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government.
