First ‘I Saw the Light’ Trailer Stars Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams

Sony Pictures Classics has released the first full-length trailer for I Saw the Light, the upcoming biographical drama starring Tom Hiddleston as legendary country singer Hank Williams.

Written and directed by Marc Abraham, the film received fairly dismal reviews after premiering at TIFF and was re-cut and the studio decided to push it out of the crowded awards season. Also starring Elizabeth Olsen, Cherry Jones, Bradley Whitford, Maddie Hasson and Wren Schmidt, the film will now arrive on March 25th, 2016.

Check out the first official trailer for I Saw the Light, which traces the life and career of country music legend Hank Williams, whose quick climb to fame led to his untimely death at age 29.

Looks pretty darn awesome judging from this first trailer. I can hardly believe is the same actor of the Avengers. I’m looking forward to seeing this, but hoping it’s not just a carbon copy of Walk the Line.
