First Images of Liam Neeson in TAKEN 3, Plus Plot Details [UPDATED]

UPDATE: The first Taken 3 poster has arrived online, which French tagline ensures us that it’s the end of the road (c’est ici que tout s’achève) for the popular franchise.

Liam Neeson is definitely back in action again in the first images from Olivier Megaton’s upcoming action sequel Taken 3 that is actually called Tak3n.

We also do see Maggie Grace as the oft-taken daughter Kim Mills (in some distress) and newcomer Forest Whitaker as Franck Dotzler (the man chasing Neeson this time) in the five first look pictures, courtesy of USA Today and Empire. Neeson also told USA Today a little about the plot for TaK3n, the one to close out the franchise:

“I have to go on the run, I’ll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities. Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me.This time, no more travelling. If my daughter was ‘taken’ again on a trip, Bryan Mills would have to be certifiably locked up for bad parenting.”

So Neeson’s ex-CIA badass Mills is on the run from the cops after he’s framed for the murder of someone close to him. The untold legendary revenge story of the ultimate takedown. Sam Spruell, Dougray Scott, Dylan Bruno, Leland Orser, and Jon Gries also join the cast.

20th Century Fox has set to release the third installment on January 9, 2015.

UPDATE: New international poster confirms that the third installment is really called…Tak3n. Does this pointless subtitle contains a secret vulgar message? Some say that transcription of the dumb looking title is: “Taken, from behind.”

Yo check this out all jokes aside. The one-sheet sees Neeson stood beneath a sign similar to the Hollywood sign, but instead of letters there is just a giant 3.
