First JURASSIC WORLD Poster and Trailer Description

Director Colin Trevorrow tweeted out the first teaser poster for the first Jurassic Park sequel since Jurassic Park III was released thirteen years ago. For something so simple, it has a crazy-effective tagline.

“The Park is Open.”

The new one-sheet image reminds me of the simplicity of the original Jurassic Park poster. The T-Rex emblem strikes again albeit it makes things a little darker with a foreboding, smoky background. Could the reveal of this one mean that the first trailer is on the way?

Warning: Spoilers ahead. A trailer description for the film has already been leaked online. The clip reportedly opens with

“tourists on a ferryboat, on their way to Isla Nublar and shows footage of attractions featuring dinosaurs at the amusement park. It then shows a great white shark being fed to a giant aquatic dinosaur, as visitors look on. Soon, a dinosaur, pegged as one of the film’s villains, gets loose. The trailer also shows the chaos that ensues. The trailer ends with Chris Pratt, who plays a dinosaur handler, revealing he tamed some Velociraptors, which he utilises to track down the dinosaur that got loose.”

Opening in 2D and 3D on June 12, 2015, the sci-fi terror adventure co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Andy Buckley. The anticipated sequel is set 22 years after the horrific events of the original Jurassic Park.
