First LAGGIES Trailer and Poster

A24 has unveiled the first trailer for Lynn Shelton‘s coming-of-age dramedy, Laggies, which also stars Sam Rockwell.

Led by  Keira Knightley and Chloe Moretz, Shelton’s highest-profile feature yet follows the 28-eight-year old Megan (Knightley) who is an the midst of an early life crisis and decides to retreat to the home of a new teenage friend, played by Moretz.

The Sundance hit also stars Mark Webber, Jeff Garlin, Gretchen Mol, and Kaitlyn Dever, and it will be released on October 24.

Note: If you’re not a big fan of Keira Knightley‘s acting, just focus on Sam Rockwell’s. I tried it, and it works for me just fine.

Having spent her twenties comfortably inert, 28 year old Megan (Keira Knightley) reaches a crisis when she finds herself squarely in adulthood with no career prospects, no particular motivation to pursue any and no one to relate to, including her high school boyfriend (Mark Webber). When he proposes, Megan panics and given an opportunity to escape – at least temporarily – she hides out in the home of her new friend, 16-year-old Annika (Chloë Grace Moretz) and Annika’s world-weary single dad (Sam Rockwell).
