First Look at Marvel’s DAREDEVIL Series

We now have our first look at the Marvel Daredevil Netflix series as shooting has commenced in New York City.

The first photos and a short video seemingly capturing the pivotal scene in which Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) first loses his eyesight as kid. In the comics, he’s blinded by a radioactive substance which in turn gives him his extrasensory powers.

“I can’t see!”

yells a young Murdock (?) in a brief video from the set and the photo shows the toxic waste truck and handful of extras.

The filming was given the codename “Bluff” and it took place on 115th and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.

Sadly, this could be on the set of any film or TV series. Whatever.

Daredevil follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard, along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb. Starring Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Elden Henson, and Vincent D’Onofrio, the 13-episode series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2015.
