First MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION Teaser Trailer and Poster

Fifth Film In MIP Franchise

Mission: Impossible 5 is now confirmed to be named Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. To celebrate, Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have released the first trailer and poster along with some new photos.

There’s still no official plot, but “Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate – an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.

Cruise and McQuarrie also described the plot of the movie in an interview for USA Today:

The new flick finds Hunt’s highly effective but destructive Impossible Mission Force (IMF) disbanded by vengeful Washington bureaucrats such as the CIA chief (played by Alec Baldwin). But Hunt pulls his team together (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson) to battle the shadowy force known as “The Syndicate” and its elusive leader (Sean Harris).

The fifth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise stars Cruise as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, who also executive produces for Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions.

Pegg, Rhames and Renner return to the series as well, joined by newcomers Ferguson, Harris, Baldwin, Simon McBurney, and Zhang Jingchu who all appear in the Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) penned film.

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation will be released on July 31, 2015.

Check out a minute long tease in the video below and check back tomorrow for the full-length debut trailer.

Honestly it’s the best trailer tease I’ve ever seen. It makes MIP#5 look like something interesting. That plane stunt looks insane, but marketing team gives zero f*cks to posters. Airbus stunt looks great too.

Don’t like the subtitle…the age of “Rogue” titles has begun.
