First ‘TMNT 2’ Trailer Introduces Bebop & Rocksteady

Michael Bay-Produced Sequel

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel and it looks like legitimate fun. The franchise characters Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (current WWE Champion Sheamus) will make their first appearance in live-action.

Reportedly retitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the sequel to the 2014 reboot brings back the beloved heroes in a half-shell — Leonardo (Pete Ploszek and Johnny Knoxville), Raphael (Alan Ritchson), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), and Donatello (Jeremy Howard) — as well as their associates April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and Vernon Fenwick (Will Arnett).

Among the new characters revealed in this action-packed footage are Laura Linney’s mystery character, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, and Stephen Amell as the sports-themed vigilante Casey Jones, along with newcomers Brian Tee as Shredder and Brittany Ishibashi as Shredder’s daughter Karai.

The sequel to last year’s box office smash is produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form. Directed by Earth to Echo‘s David Green, TMNT 2 is set for release on June 3, 2016. Watch the first trailer below.

Looks fun like the first movie, so everything OK when you like it. Cowabunga!

There has also been a rumor that Out of the Shadows will feature a live-action version of Krang, a villain created for the original animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” TV series.
