First Trailer for ‘Allied’ with Brad Pitt & Marion Cotillard

Robert Zemeckis’ Film

Paramount Pictures has revealed the first teaser trailer for Robert Zemeckis’ World War II romantic thriller Allied starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard.

The upcoming awards-season bait is an original story scripted by Steven Knight, who was tapped for the World War Z 2 and The Girl in the Spider’s Web scripts. Knight is also an executive producer on the film, which opens November 23rd and co-stars Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Goode, Raffey Cassidy, Charlotte Hope and Jared Harris.

“It’s based on a story that was told to me personally when I was about 21 years old,” Knight told Collider last year. “I’ve always known it would be a film, and now it’s gonna be the ultimate. I can’t believe the cast we’ve got, I can’t believe the director we’ve got, it’s just a dream.”

Allied is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
