First Trailer for BEASTS OF NO NATION Debuts

Netflix released the first trailer for Cary Fukunaga’s adaptation of Uzodinma Iweala’s acclaimed novel Beasts of No Nation, led by Idris Elba.

Fukunaga’s ( Sin Nombre) new war drama is his another movie about a young boy lured into a violent conflict by older men. The film stars Abraham Attah as a young boy named Agu, along with Elba as the chilling leader of a group of mercenary fighters who recruit Agu to kill the militant who murdered the boy’s family.

Beasts Of No Nation is premiering at the Venice Film Festival and will also screen at the Toronto International Film Festival. Netflix picked up the film for a hefty $12 million and plans to release it on October 16th on their service and in Landmark Theaters in nineteen markets.
