First Trailer for Chazelle’s ‘First Man’ Starring Gosling as Armstrong
Universal has released the first official trailer for First Man, Damien Chazelle’s directorial follow-up to La La Land which looks at Neil Armstrong’s and the legendary Apollo 11 space mission.
Written by Josh Singer, the film is based on a book by James R. Hansen and stars Ryan Gosling as Armstrong, and the full cast includes Claire Foy as his wife Janet, along with Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, Corey Stoll and Pablo Schreiber.

The Neil Armstrong biopic opens in theaters October 12.

Written by Academy Award® winner Josh Singer (Spotlight), the drama is produced by Wyck Godfrey & Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga, The Fault in Our Stars) through their Temple Hill Entertainment banner, alongside Chazelle and Gosling. Isaac Klausner (The Fault in Our Stars) executive produces. Amblin Entertainment co-finances the film.
