First Trailer for Christopher Nolan’s WWII Film ‘Dunkirk’

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the very first Dunkirk trailer online and it is as grand and gripping as you would expect it to be.

Christopher Nolan‘s WWII drama titled Dunkirk, stars Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, Tom Glynn-Carney, screen veterans Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh, and features One Direction’s Harry Styles in his acting debut.

Hoyte van Hoytema serves as cinematographer and Nolan’s favorite composer Hans Zimmer will score the film which chronicles the evacuation of 330,000 Allied troops surrounded by the German army on the beaches of France in 1940.

Shot on both IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-formats, Dunkirk hits theaters everywhere starting July 21st, 2017. Check it out below.

Hot damn. The original Brexit… Just kidding.  I have no doubt; Nolan is going for Oscar.

Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
