First Trailer for David O. Russell’s New Film JOY

David O. Russell’s Film

20th Century Fox has debuted the first official Joy trailer, which reunites David O. Russell, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro.

The dramedy marks the third collaboration between Russell, Lawrence, Cooper and De Niro, following Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. The cast also includes Edgar Ramirez, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, and Virginia Madsen.

Joy is set to hit theaters December 25, 2015, just in time for the Oscars. I wouldn’t be surprised if J.Law lands another nod for her performance in this flick. Hit the jump to check out the teaser, which doesn’t really tell us much about the movie.

JOY is the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces.
