First Trailer for DRACULA UNTOLD Starring Luke Evans [UPDATED]

UPDATE: In addition to the first Dracula Untold trailer, Universal has released five new images. Check them below.
Following the first international poster, a domestic version has also debuted last week and now the first trailer for Dracula Untold has been released, starring Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper.

Originally titled Dracula: Year Zero, Universal greenlit a “new” take on the story of the age-old creature in the vein of the nice Twilight Vampires.

A non-horror, CG-enhanced version of the original Bram Stoker finds Evans playing Vlad III Țepeș and shows the origins of a man who sacrificed his soul (a Faustian origin story) for his people, and then those people rejected him and made him into a monster called Dracula.

Gary Shore-directed flick co-stars William Houston, Samantha Barks, Ferdinand Kingsley, Charlie Cox, Thor Kristjansson, Charlie Cox, Paul Kaye, and Charles Dance.

Dracula Untold is out in the UK on 3rd October and in the US on 17th October 2014.

Check out the first trailer that features the main beats of the story.

Luke Evans is starring as the most famous of vampires in an origin story that sees a Transylvanian prince risk eternal damnation in order to save his wife and son from a Turkish horde. Barks will play a figure in Eastern European folk tales known as a baba yaga, a beautiful young woman who turns into a savage witch. Kristjansson will play Bright Eyes, an Eastern European taken as a slave as a young boy and now a vicious assassin in the Ottoman Army. Parkinson will play Dracula’s son, named Ingeras.
