First Trailer for HOME with Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez

Along with the second installment of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise (opens this weekend), DreamWorks has released the trailer for Home, the CGI animated movie featuring the voices of Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez, Steve Martin and Rihanna.

The Tim Johnson-directed aliens-hiding-on-Earth pic – based on the novel “The True Meaning of Smekday” by Adam Rex – focus on the Boov, a squat race of confident little aliens who relocate Earth’s human population in order to take over the planet.

Parsons and Rihanna lead the voice cast as Oh, a memeber of the Boov race, and a human girl Tip, while J-Lo and Martin co-starring as Tip’s mother and the leader of the Boov race, Captain Smek.

Watch the first trailer for Home, opening March 27, 2015.

Rihanna voice looks like Mila Kunis voice, but still good. The kids will love it – and so will adults (in a properly alerted state of mind). However, a problem may occur as far as marketing goes – the short preceding a feature film was titled Almost Home. Check it below.

The alien creature design is pretty bland and cliche though.

When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated, while all Boov get busy reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip (Rihanna), manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons). The two fugitives realize there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime.
