Sony has released the first trailer for Ron Howard’s Inferno, the follow-up to Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones.

Based on the Dan Brown novel, the story follows Robert Langdon (Hanks) as a target of a worldwide manhunt after he can’t recall what dangerous events recently took place. Also starring Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ben Foster, and Irrfan Khan, the film is set to open in the U.S. on October 28th.

“Langdon is thrust into this crisis without knowing why or how he got there or what his role is,” Howard told EW. “It gave Tom a lot to play with. And it allowed me to stage this as a modern psychological thriller.”
