Following the first poster for actor/writer/director Jon Favreau‘s food-truck indie  Chef, eagerly awaited film’s first trailer is finally here and it looks absolutely delicious.

Starring the Favs, along with Iron Man alumni, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, the movie looks really good and sees the director returning to his Swingers and Made roots.

There’s also Dustin Hoffman, Oliver Platt, Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Bobby Canavale, a starry ensemble all serving up supporting turns for Chef, which opens for business on May 9th.

It’s a nice, low budget road trip movie that premiered at SXSW last month and the first eight reviews counted at Rotten Tomatoes are positive. I’m predicting the film will win over audiences.

Check out the first trailer for a sure crowd-pleaser.

When Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what’s next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen—and zest for life and love.
