First Trailer for Kevin Smith’s Horror Movie TUSK

A24 has brought online the first trailer for Kevin Smith’s new horror-thriller, Tusk. Actually, he delivered it to an eager Comic-Con audience on Friday night.

In the vein of Misery meets The Human Centipede this isn’t to be confused with the Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Tusk, a misfired attempt at a kids’ film.

Starring Justin Long as a podcaster visiting Canada for a new story, this man-to-walrus body mutilation movie has a weird, wacky, funny Kev’s twist.

The cast also includes Michael Parks as a creepy old man who wants to make another human (Long) into a walrus, Genesis Rodriguez as podcaster’s girlfriend, and Haley Joel Osment as his friend (who go on the hunt for him when he goes missing), along with Johnny Depp in the role Smith originally wanted Quentin Tarantino to take.

Smith wrote this with Parks in mind and just thought of f*cked up sh!t for him to say.

I think the trailer looks great. The scene where the old fella is standing over a water tank screaming and laughing is awesome. Watch it below.

“I don’t wanna die in Canada.” Can’t wait.

Tusk comes to theaters on September 19th.
