Shintaro Shimosawa's Film

Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino chew scenery together in the first trailer for Lionsgate Premiere’s legal thriller Misconduct, starring Josh Duhamel as a young lawyer who gets caught in a sticky situation.

Duhamel’s character aims to take down Hopkins’ billionaire pharmaceuticals titan who manipulated drug trials, but somehow he gets seduced by Malin Akerman, betrays his wife Alice Eve, and is investigated by Julia Stiles after Akerman’s character dies and he seemingly gets pinned for the murder. Pacino plays Duhamel’s boss, a senior partner at the law firm. The cast also features Chris Marquette and Byung-hun Lee.

The film, previously titled Beyond Deceit, is directed by Shintaro Shimosawa from a script co-written by Simon Boyes and Adam Mason, making Shimosawa’s feature directing debut after producing TV.

Lionsgate will release Misconduct in theaters and on VOD on February 5th, 2016. Check out the trailer below.

Nice cast. It looks like it could be a good movie. Also check out the new poster below, which bears a strong resemblance to 1989 comedy-drama heist film Family Business.
