First Trailer for ‘Mojave’ Starring Oscar Isaac & Garrett Hedlund

William Monahan's Crime Thriller

A24 has released the first trailer for the intensely visceral crime thriller, Mojave, starring Garret Hedlund and Oscar Isaac.

The sophomore directing effort of promising writer/director William Monahan (screenplay for The Departed, Body of Lies) premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival where it was met with middling response. The movie sees a jaded, suicidal, rich-boy artist, played by Hedlund, forced to face off against Isaac’s cryptic and mysterious drifter in the Mojave desert.

Also starring Louise Bourgoin, Walton Goggins and Mark Wahlberg, the thriller will be available to DirecTV users tomorrow, December 3rd and opens in limited release in January. Watch the Mojave trailer below.

In this intense classical thriller, from an original screenplay by Oscar-winning writer William Monahan (The Departed), a violent artist, Thomas, (Garrett Hedlund) has an ominous encounter in the desert with a homicidal, chameleon-like drifter, Jack, (Oscar Isaac). Jack follows Thomas back to his privileged L.A. home life, holding a dark secret over his head as he attempts to infiltrate and destroy his seemingly-perfect life. Thomas must come to terms with his own insecurities and self-doubt to protect himself and his family, and go head-to-head with his nemesis in a riveting two-man clash that plays out in exciting and unexpected ways.
