First Trailer for Sony’s ‘Venom’ Movie Starring Tom Hardy

Sony's Spider-Man Spinoff

Sony Pictures has debuted the first trailer for Venom, the Spider-Man spinoff starring Tom Hardy as the reporter-turned-Spider-Man nemesis.

The film is directed by Gangster Squad filmmaker Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, and has Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, the host for Venom.

Inspired by the 1993 miniseries Venom: Lethal Protector and the 1995 Spider-Man story arc Planet of the Symbiotes, the film tells the story of Brock’s push-and-pull relationship with the evil symbiote while living in San Francisco.

Venom also stars Michelle Williams, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. Check out the trailer below.
