First Trailer for Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Comedy SISTERS

Tina Fey & Amy Poehler

Universal Pictures have released the first trailer for their upcoming comedy Sisters, the onscreen reunion of the “SNL” and “Baby Mama” co-stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

The duo play two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Once the two find their way home they decide to throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic experience that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.

From Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore, the film also stars Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, Greta Lee, John Leguizamo, Dianne Wiest, John Cena, Ja Rule and James Brolin. Sisters hits theaters December 18, directly opposite a little film called Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The trailer doesn’t have many over-the-top laughs and some of the slapstick stuff doesn’t quite shizzle, but Fey and Poehler will certainly be enough to get us in the door….At least, Universal seem to be confident in it.
