First Trailer for TRUMBO Starring Bryan Cranston

Mirren And Cranston

Bryan Cranston gets blacklisted from Hollywood in the first trailer for director Jay Roach‘s upcoming drama Trumbo.

Emmy winner Cranston takes the lead in a biopic centered on the life of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. The film co-stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Louis C.K., David James Elliot, Elle Fanning, John Goodman, Diane Lane, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alan Tudyk, and Helen Mirren. The cast is good and sounds like good movie, so Cranston is going to the Oscars this year hahahaha, but serious.

Trumbo will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before it hits the big screen in a limited release November 6. Check out the trailer below, thanks to Fandango.

Louie C.K. does seem really out of place here. Hopefully it’s just the trailer.

Starring Bryan Cranston

The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO (directed by Jay Roach) tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.
