Full-Length Trailer for David O. Russell’s ‘Joy’ Starring Jennifer Lawrence

David O. Russell’s Dramedy

A new full-length trailer for Joy, David O. Russell‘s latest starring Jennifer Lawrence has just hit the web. God, Bradley Cooper and J-Law did it again.

20th Century Fox’s dramedy also has a super cast that includes Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez, Diane Ladd, Virginia Madsen, Isabella Rossellini, and Elisabeth Röhm. Who’s going to overact the other? Smells like Oscar bait on this one.

Otherwise, I like that backing track in the trailer – Barry and Robin Gibb’s “To Love Somebody” is such a good fit. Joy is opening in theaters on Christmas Day. Check out the new trailer below.

I didn’t find J-Law scary in the last scene. Does that mean she won’t win her second Oscar? Never mind, David O. will get nominated for Best Picture anyway.

JOY is the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces.
