Open Road has unveiled the new trailer for Terry George’s The Promise, the Armenian genocide drama starring Oscar Isaac, Charlotte le Bon and Christian Bale.

Set during the downfall of the Ottoman Empire, the story centers on a love triangle that forms between an Associated Press reporter, a medical student, and an artist, all as war starts to unfold around them.

Co-starring Shohreh Aghdashloo, Angela Sarafyan, Jean Reno, James Cromwell, Daniel Giminez Cacho and Marwan Kenzari, The Promise opens in theaters on April 21st. Check out the trailer below.
