Gal Gadot Wants Halle Berry as ‘Wonder Woman’ Love Interest
Gal Gadot named Halle Berry as her preferred pick for a possible gay relationship for Wonder Woman in a recent interview on Israeli talk show called “Good Night with Guy Pines” (conducted in Hebrew and translated via Batman News):
“I saw her the other day, Halle Berry. She’s so beautiful. Wow! She’s gorgeous! So… yeah, I could do it with her.”
However, she did say it was not something fans would see in the upcoming solo Wonder Woman film:
“It’s not something we’ve explored (in Wonder Woman). It never came to the table, but when you talk theoretically about all the women on Themyscira and how many years she was there, then what he (Greg Rucka) said makes sense,” she said about the upcoming stand-alone movie set for release on June 2, 2017, and directed by Patty Jenkins.
In case you don’t know where this whole “Wonder Woman’s bisexuality” thing is coming from, DC comic writer Greg Rucka was asked last month if the Wonder Woman he has been working on is queer. He told website Comicosity that the character – also known as Diana Prince – would have had all-female relationships, and Gadot agreed in a Variety interview, admitting her version of the Amazonian princess-turned-superheroine could be played bisexual.
The Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry portrayed Catwoman in a standalone 2004 film. The character in the comics has also been confirmed to be bisexual so maybe a role in a future Wonder Woman film is the way to do that.
