Guess What? Ben Affleck has Already Written a Solo ‘Batman’ Movie

Batman Solo Movie

The highly controversial and critically panned Zack Snyder-directed film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice crossed $500 million worldwide in just five days, but everyone seems to agree that Ben Affleck is the least of the film’s problems.

Following hot on the heels of the film’s box-office success comes the news that the script for an yet-to-be announced solo Batman film has already been turned in and it was penned by Affleck.

It’s been rumored ever since that Affleck has been working on a Batman solo movie, tentatively titled The Batman, but according to the co-CEOs of talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) the rumors are true. Warner Bros. has never issued an official statement about it, however.

“He’s contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape,” Patrick Whitesell revealed to THR, adding, “there’s a script that he’s written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option.”

Affleck stole every scene being Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman, so I am interested to see what he brings to the solo film. I’ve always thought that he’s a much more talented writer/director than he is actor. Just give people two hours of vigilante Batman hunting down dirtbags, gangbangers and human traffickers… More as I hear it, of course.
