Halle Berry in Talks for ‘Kingsman 2’ CIA Role

Kingsman 2 Casting

The Academy Award winner Halle Berry may head up in the CIA in the next installment of Matthew Vaughn‘s Kingsman franchise.

The actress is in talks to join the original star Taron Egerton and the fellow newbie Julianne Moore who was recently in negotiations to play the new Big Bad. If a two picture deal makes, Berry would co-star as CIA honcho in Kingsman 2 and Kingsman 3.

Only if the new film performs like last year’s hit, of course. Vaughn’s adaptation of the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons comic book grossed $128 million domestically and another $286 million internationally for a worldwide total of $414.4 million.

The sequel is said to focus more on the USA and the American branch of the title covert Secret Service agency. Colin Firth is a no-go either a flashback or as a new character.

20th Century Fox will release Kingsman: The Secret Service 2 on June 16, 2017.
