‘Hellboy’: First Look at David Harbour in Red

Neil Marshall's Reboot

Lionsgate has shared on social media the first photo of David Harbour as the titular character in the upcoming Hellboy reboot, and it looks stunning.

The new half-demon looks more angular than Ron Perlman’s rounded visage. Harbor’s look also has a very different hair style than Perlman in the Guillermo del Toro film adaptations. The new version just looks tougher now with a more gritty approach to the hero’s Fist of Doom.

The first official image of the beloved comic character can be seen in all its Big Red glory below, as well as the black and white photo of Harbour in his Hellboy costume above.

Neil Marshall's Reboot

Directed by Neil Marshall and also starring Ian McShane, Milla Jovovich, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Daniel Dae Kim, the film is said to be a much closer adaptation of Mike Mignola’s origin story unconnected to del Toro’s franchise.

Below you can check out the revised description:

“The film is about Hellboy going to England, where he must defeat Nimue, Merlin’s consort and the Blood Queen. But their battle will bring about the end of the world, a fate he desperately tries to turn away.”

The Hellboy reboot is currently scheduled for release on January 11, 2019.
